Cracker Barrel Old Country Store in Montgomery

Love to eat here, the food is wonderful. Our servers was not very happy. Sure do wish that you could get a different brand of coffee ☕. Everything wo I ld be even better

Today was the worst experience at my favorite place to eat in eastchase. I got sat at 12:15pm 10.26.18 I sat at table 222 & ordered orginally steak,casserole, brocolli and mac n cheese. Upon arrival, it looked great opened up my silverware lipstick and food was embedded ontop of the fork n spoon, asked for another set THAT TWO WAS DIRTY! ASKED FOR plastic ware went to eat to only find out my broccoli had mold on it. Im over this experience and this establishment has left a bad taste in my mouth LITERALLY

The shrimp was amazing and the macaroni one of a kind. It was my first time ever eating at Cracker Barrel and I loved the whole dining experience.

Amazing food. Customer service was good.

Set us at dirty table, asked hostess to clean, she replied it's only water where the glasses were, there was salt, food crumbs, tells me not cleaning tables properly, using a rag to clean tables instead of paper towels, using same rag on all tables spreading any germs from table to table, not sitting us at least 6 foot apart, had to move table away from customers already seated. Makes me wonder what's going on in kitchen.

There's a big difference in hospitality, and professionalism in that store during the day and in the evening/night. The sweetest, and most helpful people are there during the day. But say around 5 o'clock, forget it. It would be good for the store to have an adult during the evening/night. One that has been there for a while. One where familiar with. Management really needs to consider that.

This location was mediocre, this was my second time going to Cracker Barrel but my first experience was so much better, it was in Athens, Alabama. I ordered the same thing I got the first time at the Athens location that I ordered at the Montgomery, Alabama location and the food didn't give me the WOW effect like it did in Athens, Alabama. The waitress was really sweet though, and the host, but the food could've been better.

If there was a 0 star you would receive it. I came in about 11 am. was told it would be a 25 minute wait and put my name on the register under Moseley. i then waited until 12:25 while be accosted by the same employees trying to sell me stuff in the store at least 3 times. eventually i just said no I'm waiting to eat still. At 12:25 i go an ask where my name is on the list. the employee says she must have already called it and i could re enter my name on the list. What actually happen is she wrote my name down as Murray and called the wrong name. Thank you for wasting my time.I'm now at home and about to make my own breakfast. Should have done that in the first place. I will never enter your store again.

I love their country steak; was very good. My son got Ham but I had to boil it as he said it was too salty. Everything else was tasteful. I don’t really like biscuits (unless Hardee’s) but they gave us about 6 of them! A nice place!

Blueberry muffins are great. The best I have ever had. I keep coming back mostly for them. However the Columbus, SC store have the best!!! That store made me a lover of Cracker Barrell.

The food is always really really good here and the service is great. We have had in the past times when they have run out of certain menu items a lot but it happens. The country store is also nice to look around in

This was the worst experience that we have ever had with cracker barrel. We ordered cheese burgers and fries. Simple right. One with no mayo and one cooked medium. Again simple. Yet both burgers are wrong. Cooked wrong and Yes both had mayo. I did eat mine but my wife's burger came back wrong after another staff member told her that they don't put mayo on the burger. Anyway the second one came out with a new bottom bun and the top still the same as what was given back. Now it gets better, because the burger that she now has is my medium burger. So all goes back and now a new order was done. Yes we did get to eat and our meal was comp.

Good, reliable American food. Regards of the location, I find a quality to consistent across this chain. Even though it was later in the day, I enjoyed the pancakes very much. The service was a little slow, but perhaps that is because the guy was new?

The breakfast was below normal standards for this restaurant. The biscuits, pancakes and French toast was yellow from butter-flavored grease. The French toast and pancakes were also very undercooked. They were doughy. So disappointing.

Had something on the inside of glass and waitress did not even offer to bring a new glass..also husband ordered unsweetened tea and got sweet. Not a good work force here for sure :(

This restaurant has greatly improved! I was very impressed with our server on Friday, January 24, 2020. I didn’t get her name but she is a vegan and had worked there 7 or 9 years. Her expertise showed! She was able to assist my husband in making sure he received his meal without meat or dairy products and she kept the rest of our orders straight, drinks filled, etc. she represented Cracker Barrel well! All of the workers that evening were busy and top notch! Kudos to everyone!

Ummm Goooood!

I placed a order on Sunday afternoon, I was told it would be ready in 15 mins but i arrived in 30 mins, i was told my order was not ready when i arrived, and i waited a couple of mins, then i told the hostess i would be right, When I can back I told the hostess my name again, she checked the order that were ready in the stand but mines wasn't there. She asked what did I order, I told her, then she went to the kitchen to check, she can back and begin to check the orders again, here it is. "I said it was ready the first time," yes but it"s still warm. Once I got home and begin to my receipt, IT HAD SOMEONE ELSE NAME ON IT. WASTED TIME..

BREAKFAST IS THE BEST MEAL OF THE DAY AND THE MOST AWESOME PLACE TO IT ENJOY IT WAS CRACKET BARREL @MONTGOMERY

Terrible food at this location. It was served lukewarm and haphazardly tossed on to the plates which were half empty. The waitress was slow (even though they weren't busy) and when we asked for things they were either brought really late or never brought at all. The silverware was dingy. We were told 15 minutes after we ordered our food that something my husband had order they were out of. Another 15 minutes after that we were told one of the sides he ordered they were out of. The check out process was even worse. One cashier for 5 people in line, plus someone waiting on a pick up order and door dash. I waited in line 15 minutes to check out. I'm glad I was just passing through. If you are too go somewhere else to eat.

We stopped at this location on our way through to Mississippi. While Sundays are always busy days at Cracker Barrel, we didn't have to wait too long, considering, for a table or food. Destiny provided great service. All the staff we encounter were friendly including the manager with the awesome bow tie and the lovely older lady who made the restroom the cleanest one we've seen at a Cracker Barrel.

I recently traveled over the Christmas holidays and only dined at Cracker Barrel restaurants. The states I visited them were Alabama and Mississippi off I-20. I pray that these locations arent indicative of the restaurant chain as a whole as the restaurants' cleanliness and staff attentiveness that I had always rated top notch were severely lacking. At one location, a repair item in the ladies restroom needed attention. I brought the matter up when checking out only to be told by an employee that she had shown the problem to her manager over a month ago and it's still not fixed. Not something I wanted to hear as this is an indication that Cracker Barrel appears to have management issues.

Food was fantastic customer service was fabulous and it was nice to visit a restaurant that reminds you of the good ole days and what life was like even before all of the things happening in our nation right now and the atmosphere just brings you back home to where it all started so I'll most definitely come back to this diner

This cracker barrel was, ok, our service was wonderful. Jan our server was well mannered, friendly, and prompt. However no cornbread and she found a few butters otherwise were also out until their truck... Food was made well and very quick delivery to table... Almost 5 🌟's

I like it because l can get anything from breakfast to a steak!!!

Empty parking lot, mostly empty restaurant, and plenty of staff in the area. Took quite some time to get greeted, drink served, and food ordered. Although it was a daily made meal and should have been made in mass, the food came out quickly and was good.

French toast breakfast plate. French toast was barely cooked, a little brown on one side. Barely cooked on the other. No flavor really at all. Mostly "soggy". Scrambled eggs way overcooked. Bacon hardly cooked at all. Last trip was 3-4 years ago and everytime I leave I say that will be my last. Maybe that was it.

Just passing through Montgomery and needed to get some lunch. The food at Cracker Barrel is always really good, though not Keto/carb friendly. I got the meatloaf with sides. The sides here are always good. The turnip greens are not spicy but have good flavor. Fried catfish is always good.

I’ve been going to Cracker Barrel for many years!! My grandma absolutely loves this place. The past few times i’ve gone its been just alright. Usually there is a wait for a bit but thats expected. Food for me is just okay but everyone else seems to love it. Waiters are a hit & miss type of deal. I’ll go for my grandma but it wouldn’t be top on my list.

Always enjoy my meals & service there, even if they are crowded, they work diligently to seat all quickly.

Cracker Barrel's food is consistently palatable. However, the hand folded biscuits are truly a unique bite.

Poorest service my husband has ever experienced!! One person was working in the dining room while 5 or 6 were glued to their telephones. Even asked one of those 5 or 6 repeatedly for coffee no one bothered to do it. There were only 5 other tables of customers. Ordered breakfast. Took 1 hour and 15 minutes for service. Got up to leave twice but the only waitress working ran after him. When ready to check out the lady at cash register couldn’t wait on him for talking on the phone. NO EXCUSE! After he left, a local told him this was always the case!

My mom literally got sick from the catfish. She said it tasted old and it was greasy. But the wait staff was very helpful and I'm thankful for them.

Made a mistake stopping for a quick breakfast on our long road trip. Seated immediately, then we waited and waited. Finally order taken, and we waited again just to get the coffee. Several tables served and we were finally served. It was standard order nothing special. After nearly 90 minutes we were finally on the road. Server was good but might need further training.

Customer service was awful my food was cold and I only received half of my order. When I asked for a refund the manager told me to call corporate for a refund, I will not be back again to this store, very unpleasant

Service was Good, staff were pleasant 😃, they know their measurements as we were 6ft apart at minimum. Tables were clean, bathroom clean, no flies, no stitt. Food was good I had Grandma's Sampler comes with about two or three types of meat, fruit cup, original 100% syrup in a personal sized warm bottle. I could go on but hey gotta get my day started. Oh yeah, William is defly lifting weights, buff with nice tone to his voice. #happycustomer

My first time their and it was very good my steak was cooked to perfection but they were Very stingy on the Mac n cheese and was only given a handful of fries felt like I was an 8year old with the small portions Overall very clean and friendly

Good food. Mediocre service

The store was very clean. The employees on that side was wonderful. The eating area not as clean, yet I would still eat there, just seemed messy from a lunch rush. Staff was not veey friendly. They aren't really in tune with paying options, so ended up leaving without eating. My server didn't offer to get a manager or even ask if she could find out if there was another option.... Very disappointing since I walked there from my hotel. Which was not really safe or close by. BTW, I am very obviously handicapped. I have disabilities with back and hips.

Busy being Sunday. Wait for table wasn't long. All staff very friendly and helpful. Meal was perfect for all 3 of us. Very pleased with total experience.

Was not satisfied at all. I called, then was directed to order online, so i do so; then call to let them know i arrived and what slot I was in. I waited an HOUR until I walked in and then gave them my name and order. One lady looked at the orders ready and said its not ready yet. Then the next lady comes in and checks again looking at the same 3 bags and reconfirmed my name and my order was there. The sandwich was both soggy and freezing and the sausage was cold and rock hard. There was a staff member sitting outside and not once did someone come to check in me or to see what my order was. Additionally I ordered biscuits and gravy and they were also cold and the gravy had turned to a solid jello form.

Empty restaurant and we still had to wait.I'm convinced this is simply part of their marketing -- the dining room was less than. 25% occupied on an early Saturday morning and we still had to wait 15 minutes. The hostess claimed they had to let their servers 'catch up.' Really! On one of your busiest days of the week and your busiest meal periods, you can't handle 25% capacity? It's been awhile since I've visited CB, and this experience is going to put an even longer wait period before I come back. If I have to wait for a table in a neatly-empty restaurant, you'll wait a long time before I come back!
